How to Upload and Download Files using Filezilla?

Filezilla :

Filezilla is a open source FTP application software. It is used for managing and transferring files. This blog will be a useful post to all beginners.


FTP Server Connection using Filezilla :



Step 1 : Enter the Hostname, Username, Password and Portnumber
and click Quick connect. Your FTP Server is connected.




Directory Listing Successful message will be displayed in message log portion after connecting.

Directory structure will be displayed under Remote site.

1. Uploading Files Using Filezilla

Step 1 :

Double click on the folder where you want to upload the file.

Step 2 : 
Files and folders can be uploaded from local to remote using two options.
Option 1 : Right click on the file in the local site and click upload. The file will be uploaded in remote site.

Option 2 : Drag the file from local site and drop it to remote site.

Your files are uploaded successfully.

2. Download File using Filezilla :

You can download a file from remote srever using filezilla with two options.
Option 1 : In the remote site, right click on the file to be downloaded and click download, the selected file will be downloaded in local site.

Option 2 : Drag the file from remote site and drop it to local site.

Your files are downloaded successfully.

Thus, Filezilla is a user friendly, free FTP and SFTP application software.
